GPS and Notre Dame claimed third place finishes at the Best of Preps Basketball Tournament at Chattanooga State Saturday.
The Bruisers (8-4) jumped out to a 19-4 start and cruised past Chattanooga Christian, 59-35, behind 21 points from Brianna Farris and 11 from Chappel Sharrock.
Notre Dame (10-5) put five players in double figures, led by Stedmon Ford's 26 points, to down Ooltewah, 96-78. Kealey Green added 22 points and Kareem Orr 20 as the Irish, who shot 60 percent from the floor for the game, earned the win over the Owls. Jaqueze Robinson topped Ooltewah with 25 points, with Andrew Ware adding 13 points and 16 rebounds.
