Michigan State was outshot but not outdone by visiting Notre Dame on Saturday, taking a 4-1 victory in Central Collegiate Hockey Association play.
Tanner Sorenson scored just 1:48 in for the Spartans, assisted by Kevin Walrod and Michael Ferrantino.
Anders Lee scored an unassisted goal for the Irish in the second period before RJ Boyd and Brent Darnell both scored for the Spartans (6-13-3).
Matt DeBlouw added an unassisted goal into an empty net for Michigan State late.
Jake Hildebrand made 33 saves for Michigan State. Steven Summerhays stopped 19 shots for Notre Dame (15-6-0).
Alaska 4, (at) Michigan 1: Cody Kunyk and Adam Henderson scored once each in the first and third periods for Alaska-Fairbanks.
Jacob Trouba scored, with assists from Jon Merrill and Alex Guptill, in the second period for the Wolverines (7-13-2).
Adam Janecyk made 24 saves for Michigan. John Kenney stopped 30 shots for Alaska.
(At) Western Michigan 3, Lake Superior State 1: Western Michigan pummeled Lake Superior goalie Kevin Murdock with 41 shots, cashing in with goals by Mike Leone, Dane Walters and Dennis Brown.
Brown also assisted on Walters' score for the Broncos (13-5-4). Frank Slubowski made 18 saves.
Domenic Monardo scored in the second period for Lake Superior (12-11-1).
